Big steps forward on our renovation.
The original hardwood floors in the house were in pretty good shape. Our contractor determined they were fine to refinish and that he could match that flooring in the areas of the house that had tile floors, which we wanted removed. He scraped up those old tiles and then laid in white oak to seamlessness blend with the original. Walls are now all up. Doorways finished, recessed LeD lighting installed.
The bathroom has begun tiling and the cabinets and counter tops in.
Kitchen goes in Monday. And in the next week we’ll have all the floors stained and finished, the closets installed, and cabinetry completed in both the Bonus Room (Doug’s office) and the Laundry/Craft room. We are just a few weeks away from the interior being completed.
