Forsyth Park is the largest park in the historic district and covers 30 acres of land just south of Gaston Street and north of Park Avenue and is a hub of social interaction. Concerts, recreation sports, people watching, sun bathing, reading, relaxing… On Saturdays there is a great farmer's market.

Wormsloe Historic Site

This historic site was once the colonial estate of carpenter Noble Jones, who came to Georgia with James Oglethorpe in 1733. This former plantation is the site of the oldest standing structure in Savannah – learn about the tabby ruins and live oaks with sweeping branches dripping in Spanish moss that are all special to Savannah.

The college—”SCAD” to locals—runs a large boutique called ShopSCAD, an anchor of the historic district, which sells only the work of the school’s students, faculty and alumni. I love the toile items graphically depicting the historic squares.
