    We've survived our first hurricane in Georgia. This photo above was taken Thursday, September 14, 4 days after Irma hit our island. The power was back on. As residents and neighbors we gathered to celebrate survival and optimism. It's what The Landings does so well. Celebration and gratitude. Oh, and cocktails.     Moving to a new state requires obtaining a new drivers license along with re-registering your car. Generally, a necessary nuisance. When I looked into where to find the Department of Motor Vehicles in Savannah my GPS took me to a building with the letters TAG (in capital letters) Office. At the front desk I asked the woman if this is where I apply for a new driver’s license and she said no, that was across the street at an office called, “Georgia Driver Services.” That was my

    While we have so many wonderful friends in the New Jersey area we’d come to realize that we wanted something in a warmer climate that offered us an active lifestyle where our money would stretch a bit further. We visited many, many properties that we thought were wonderful, in beautiful areas including Sarasota, Florida, Asheville, NC, Sawgrass, Florida and Lake Oconee, Georgia all of which we seriously considered.
